Monday was an ugly one in Navy Yard as the Mets routed the Nats 19-5 to split the series. Trevor Williams allowed five runs in just over five innings of work, but the bullpen really imploded in the loss. The 'pen then combined to give up 14 runs in less than four innings on the mound. Cole Henry especially had a rough afternoon, as New York plated five runs off of him in the top of the 7th.

(13:30) The offense only scored in the bottom of the 8th in this one. Among the scoring was James Wood's 9th homer of the season, putting him just one back of the MLB lead. Nathaniel Lowe also went deep and this leads to a discussion about the trade that brought him over to Washington this offseason.
